Entry advice. NO ALARM NEEDED. Two-week window, no time-of-day rush, no first-come element. BUT: the organiser's own site says the ballot opens 'Tuesday 1st October 2026'. 1 October 2026 is a THURSDAY. Set your reminder by the date, not the day. HAVE READY: proof of qualifying races under the NEW 2027 rule (90 miles across no more than 2 off-road ultras in 3 years), card details, and a support crew with a vehicle. A MOTORISED SUPPORT VEHICLE IS A CONDITION OF ENTRY. There is no solo or unsupported category and no organiser-run crew matching. Recommended crew is one person for the first half and two for the second. Crew must appear at Registration, Tyndrum, Glencoe, Kinlochleven and the finish, and are banned from the A82 between Beinglas Farm and Bogle Glen. Large motorhomes are prohibited at four checkpoints. Most runners find crew through the Facebook group. If you have been balloted out three years running, claim your guaranteed place: it is not automatic, you must supply proof. EVERY finisher receives the engraved crystal goblet, a tradition since about 1991. It is NOT a sub-24-hour award, despite the widespread belief. Sub-24 is a personal milestone, not a prize.
