How you get in

Entry advice. Do NOT set a 9am alarm for this one: it is a random draw, not a race to click. You have a full 48 hours from 1 Sept 09:00. Do have your qualifying run details ready before you start the form. Insufficient detail means no place, and there is no appeal. Do NOT enter both the 50 and the 100. It disqualifies you from both. If you miss out: 500 charity entries open 8 September at 09:00, £150 donation on top of the entry fee, refunded once you raise matching funds via JustGiving. Non-refundable if you withdraw. There is no waiting list and no transfers, so a place you cannot use is a place you lose.

How the ballot works. 48-hour ballot window, opens 1 September at 09:00. NOT first come first served: the organiser explicitly says the time you enter has no bearing on selection, so no need to rush at 9am. Reads as a straight random draw. No published weighting, no loyalty scheme, no carry-forward for previous rejections. Community feedback says all female applications get in, male chances are lower. You cannot enter both the 50 and the 100 to double your chances: do that and you get neither. All applicants notified by 17:00 on 5 September. Successful entrants then have 48 hours to pay before the link deactivates.
