How you get in
South Downs Way 100. Entries open at 19:00, not 9am, and there is no rush: the 2027 race was still 37% full four weeks after opening. Centurion's reputation for instant sell-outs is not borne out by the data.
Have your qualifier ready: a 50 mile race finished under 15 hours since 1 Jan 2020. The race page and the FAQ page disagree on whether that is 2020 or 2021, so use the earlier date and keep your evidence.
Qualified volunteers get a free guaranteed entry. Elite entry is by email at ITRA Index 750+ men / 600+ women.
A waiting list operates once places sell, though the 2027 FAQ contradicts this and says there will be none.
The 50km runs the same morning from the same start, if the 100 looks like too much.
South Downs Way 50km. Runs the first 50km of the 100 mile course, from the same start at Matterley Bowl, but a later 10:00 start and a separate entry on SiEntries. Finishes at Queen Elizabeth Country Park, not Eastbourne.
No qualifier. Entries close 30 May 2027, a fortnight before the race.
Not to be confused with the South Downs Way 50 (fifty MILES), which is a different event in April from Worthing to Eastbourne.
